"If I am a father in Washington, D.C., and I wanted to mail a Bible to my son who is stationed in Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, I couldn't do it," said Roy Lloyd, spokesman for the American Bible Society in New York. "It would be intercepted in the regular mail."
But the military has its own means of delivering Bibles through chaplains, Mr. Lloyd said. So a soldier in a Muslim country can get a Bible, "they just wouldn't get it from Mom and Dad."
The mail restrictions "are not our choice," he said, "but we work within the system, and it's proved to be effective."
Geraldo, can you join Peter Arnett in Bagdad and join up with the Bagdad military - PLEASE! Look, you drew the line in the sand, or should I say MAP!?"MSNBC is so pathetic a cable news network that they have to do anything they can to attract attention," Rivera said. "You can rest assured that whatever they're saying is a pack of lies."

Title:For the Sake of the Gospel
Speaker:Pastor Willie George
Notes:
1Co 9:19-23
(19) For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
(20) And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
(21) To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
(22) To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some.
(23) And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with [you].
We do not see things the way God sees them, God sees them for the Gospel's sake.
1Sa 13:14
(14) But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him [to be] captain over his people, because thou hast not kept [that] which the LORD commanded thee.
Saul had been trying to make things work using old methods. God says that the methods will change, but the message will not. What worked years ago (tent meetings and brush arbour meetings, etc.), will not work today.
1Sa 16:1-6
(1) And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
(2) And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear [it], he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.
(3) And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me [him] whom I name unto thee.
(4) And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
(5) And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
(6) And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed [is] before him.
Samuel was told to anoint a new King to replace Saul. God told him to go and do it. If you were going to annoint a new King, what would you do? Most likely look at the way the man looks, if he is sucessful, well liked, etc. So Saul thought like a man and saif that Eliab was it.
1Sa 16:7
(7) But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
God is saying here, I look at the heart. While you as man may look at the outward appearance, I look at what the man is made of. God can do more with the person with the right heart than he can do with the person who is in the right position.
1Sa 16:8-12
(8) Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
(9) Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
(10) Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.
(11) And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all [thy] children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
(12) And he sent, and brought him in. Now he [was] ruddy, [and] withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this [is] he.
Look at what God rejected. But he got the person he wanted. David was not well thought of it appears. He was not even invited to the dinner. But he was not off rebelling. Instead he was in place of service and humility. He was not out trying to make himself well known, he was doing his job. And God said, this is the one.
Heb 4:12
(12) For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
God's word examines our intentions. Two people can do the same thing, but they will not get the same reward. It is all about the intentions that you have when you do something.
Mat 6:1-4
(1) Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
(2) Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
(3) But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
(4) That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Give to others but do not give to be noticed by others. When ever possible, you should preserve the dignity of the people that you are trying to help. If you help others so that you can be seen, then you will already have your own reward.
Mat 6:16-18
(16) Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
(17) But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
(18) That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Again, do not do things for God so that you will be seen.
Mar 10:17-20
(17) And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
(18) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God.
(19) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
(20) And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
The laws that Jesus was giving him here had to do with the relationships to other people. Jesus was testing how he was to his fellow man.
Mar 10:21-22
(21) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
(22) And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
So why did he go away grieved. God had asked him to take his money off the 1st place position and put God there. He was unwilling to give up his money to have God. His sin was not in having money, it was in the money having him. All Jesus was telling him to do was to put God on his throne.
Mar 10:23-29
(23) And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
(24) And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
(25) It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
(26) And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
(27) And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
(28) Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
(29) And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
(30) But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
What you give up for the Gospel, it will be returned to you, if your heart is right. Are you giving it up for the Gospel's sake, or are you giving it up to get a blessing in return. The law of prosperity will work, if your heart is in the right place.
All scripture is from the King James version of the Bible. These are my notes from being in the service and do not reflect on what Pastor George actual said, but on what I heard.
"I gave some personal observations, some analytical observations, which I don't think are out of line with what experts think," he said. "But clearly I misjudged the firestorm."Oh, so if you knew the firestorm that would have happened, then you would not have said it? I have even less respect for you now after that remark. You will only say what we want to hear???
Good lord no, now he is going to say that he invented Apple Computers too.....
An Interesting but not entirely acurate site. I tried two questions: Who Is a person that lives in Jenks, OK with a last name of Morton (me). It relied that It was confident I would find my answer on a page so I clicked to it. I t was death notices. Morton was a pall bearer in one list, and one person who passed had a sister in Jenks, OK. Still though it could not find me, it tried. The other question I asked Who Is Superman? I will let you discover that one. Have fun.
"The Iraqis have let me stay because they see me as a fellow warrior," Arnett said. "They know I might not agree with them, but I've got their respect."
I am glad you have their respect Mr. Peter Arnett, you have lost mine.

The professor, Nicholas De Genova, told a "teach-in" on Wednesday that "the only true heroes are those who find ways that help defeat the U.S. military." De Genova also asserted Americans who call themselves "patriots" are white supremacists.
Some one invite this guy to spend some time with Sadam Husain, PLEASE SOON!De Genova's hopes for the defeat of the United States were cheered by the crowd of 3,000, according to newspaper reports. But his mention of the Somali ambush -- "I personally would like to see a million Mogadishus" -- was largely met with silence.

Some intersting quotes in this article
This time, Rami G. Khouri, executive editor of the Daily Star in Beirut, Lebanon, notes, there are 20 Arab and American television networks in the battlefield.
"With a few notable exceptions that confirm the rule," Khouri wrote, "both [Arab and American networks] broadly provide a distorted incomplete picture of events while accurately reflecting emotional and political sentiments on both sides."
"There is also the Hezbollah-run al-Manar, based in Lebanon, which doesn't even try for objectiveness," Belden added. "Whereas al-Jazeera's tag line for war coverage is the neutral 'War in Iraq,' al-Manar's is the fiery 'War of American Aggression'."
"Apparently, the American government has forgotten that freedom of press is a double-edged sword that can be as dangerous for the big democratic powers as it is for dictatorial regimes," Ghafuri concluded, according to a translation from the Foreign Broadcast Information Service.
In "a military campaign in which images compete as fiercely as armies," noted Roula Khalaf in Wednesday's edition of the Financial Times, "pictures of Iraqis welcoming the U.S. as a liberator have yet to be seen. The images, expected and indeed promised by the U.S. and U.K., are desperately needed in part to help appease international public opinion."
Khouri's conclusion in the Daily Star: "If you're getting your news and views from either Arab or American television, it is now very clear: You're getting only half the story."
My wife and I were talking about this. We live downstream from the dam just off of the Arkansa river (only about 5 houses and a levy seperate us from it). If the dam were to burst, the water might come into our house, the levy might not hold it. God has blessed us with watchful people.

A nice article about what it is like for our boys, and the reporters that are covering them.
As many know I am no fan of the democratic party, but here is one of the few members of their group I had respect for. Sir, you are missed.
Isn't this ironic. Just as the US helped put Sadam in power during the Iraq/Iran wars, now a church in the US that was built with money from Sadam to help refuges from Iraq is praying for his ouster. The bigger irony is that I am reading it from a India web site. How come the US press is not doing anything with this story?
Not sure how real it is, but this person claims to be blogging from Iraq. Makes for interesting reading.
I am so sorry. Your privlidge has been revoked. Your agency continued to show the pictures after complaints were made. You made your bed. The Exchange has any right to stop you from covering from the floor. If they feel that your coverage shows you to be a security risk, than that is so. It is a privdlege not a right! I am not allowed on the floor, I am not crying out foul. Grow up people... as I said before, Al-Jazeera you made your bed, now go lie in it.

The most important strength you can have is spiritual strength. External strength is not as strong as the spiritual strength.
Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
You have an enemy that wants to take you out whose name is Satan, but you have a greater power. You will have to take up your armour.
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
One of the most important pieces of armour, your feet shod with the Gospel
- Sharing the Gospel takes preperation
You may not ever feel that you are to be a Billy Ghram, but you can lead people to the Gospel. You need to prepare yourself to do that. You need to have a plan. - God is telling us not to wait for a sinner to come to us, we go to them. That is why we have the shoes. Jesus approached sinners, why cannot we. The righteous should be as bold as a lion. We are not to be ashamed.
- Remember that where ever you go you are walking with the testimony of Christ. You are a testimony in all actions that you do. You need to carry your integratity wherever you go. You need to be truly living so that your walk may match your talk.
Bishop Carlton Pearson,Rev. Pearson, I do not feel that you are a mainstream Christian or American. I tolerated and prayed for you when you spoke and said that Many would go to heaven that did not declare Jesus as their savior. Now you are saying that as a Christian I cannot support way. Please, provide Chapter and verse that says that. I cannot find it. I respect you as a man, I will not judge you as God does that, but I can not in good conscience follow any teachings that you teach. That is strong from me, as I stood in a service at your church and was delivered from anger towards my ex-wife. Your church helped me with a Divorce workshop. I was an ardent supporter of you. I think that this is probally hard on people like me who have looked to you as a spiritual leader, I am sorry that we have.

"This is a religious war. Fundamentalists of whatever faith are always the warmongers. Heads of states should be sitting together with their clerics and praying and working through their differences, to agree to be disagreeable. I've been quoting Dr. King's statement that 'wars are poor chisels for carving peace for tomorrow.' It is never Christian to go to war. It should never be endorsed as an acceptable means for resolving conflict."

It is quite clear here that Sadam does not care about POW's much less the weapons on mass destruction that he is supposed to have. Not once on TV have I seen an Iraq POW in colation hands close enough to see his face. The page linked to here shows one face clear as day. But we are supposed to belive Sadam and his regiem cares about his people.Footage of captured US soldiers broadcast on Iraqi television violates the Geneva Convention, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which says neither side in the conflict should show pictures of prisoners of war.
God, bless and protect our men, keep them from harm, help them in their effort to stay alive. Bless our men attempting to rescue them and bless our men who are out there on the front lines. Make yourself real to them, and watch over them, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
Offering wagers on the outcome of the war in Iraq has been scorned as distasteful by major bookmakers from London to Las Vegas, but several Web sites are giving gamblers the opportunity to put money on whether Saddam will survive.I an not sure if this is the sickest thing that I have ever read, but I am sure that it is up on the highest level. Betting on a man dying. Of course they did it to Christ for His garments. and I am not comparing the two. It is just wrong, it is as wrong as when our POW's were paraded around for all to see. SICK

What will Microsoft do this time. They have a history of not worrying about security but if you read the article it will not take much to fix the problem. If they do not do what the anti-virus people ask, it may be time for a boycott of Microsoft Office. I recomend that people look into Open Office. The cost is free and it supports current MS Office formats as well as others.

A new e-mail worm has surfaced that purports to show screensavers of U.S. spy satellite pictures of Iraq or animations that are either patriotic or that mock President Bush, a computer security company warned on Thursday. Please be careful, the idiots use anything to spread there idiocy.
Please join me in prayer:
Our heavenly Father, there is no time or distance in prayer, I ask you to be with as we pray for our troops that are out there. Protect them, guide them, and if any do not know you as God, make yourself so real to them they have to know. Reveal your Son Jesus, who is the way to truth to them. Guide them and direct us in our prayers for them. We ask this in Jesus name, AMEN.

"We live in the United States of Entertainment. Everything is a show, including a war with Iraq ... People are going to die, so they may cover it very seriously. The Total Man/ Exploring the Human Spirit, Soul & Body
by Lester Sumrall (ISBN 0-937580-57-0)
Lesson 1
Key Scriptures
Psalm 8:
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
Hebrews 4:
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
1 Thessalonians 5:
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What is man? That is what this study is about. The message of these lessons is a truth from the Bible. It is an important lesson in this end-time.
First we must establish the fact that there are two kinds of truth, historical and pertinent. Historical truth is truth of history. The fact that you are viewing this blog or that I typed it are historical truths. Though you may argue the facts of the Bible, we will assume them to be fact here, so we can say that Noah building an Ark, Joshua bringing down the walls of Jericho and Jonah coming out of a whale to preach to the Ninevites, are historical.
The other truth, pertinent, is the truth that God has prepared things for us that we will need to live life, and to be delivered from the problems of today. They are:
- Salvation from Jesus
- Water Baptism to bury the old man and to walk in the new life
- The Gifts of the Holy, to prepare us for spiritual warfare
- Divine Deliverance from demons
- Vital living faith
- Prophetic truth
The purpose of these studies will be to show that man is a triune being and that when God created him, man was a perfect being.

Speaker:Pastor Willie George
Notes:
I Corinthians 9
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
Happy people are dedicated to freedom. They are free from all types of bondage. If the devil cannot get you with the worldly things, then he will try to get you with the worse bondage of all, religious bondage. You cannot enjoy your salvation at all.
Many times when you seek guidance from God, it is in the manual, the Bible, open the Word, ask God to direct you to certain parts of The Book.
Philippians 2
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
If God has a mission and a plan for you it is something that you will enjoy doing. He will give you the desire to want to accomplish it. People ought to know us by our joy, not our "do nots".
2 Corinthians 3:
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Matthew 11:
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
Jesus is not a hard boss. He has come to experience what we experience. He knew the sickness from being around Him, people in need around Him.
It is not the work that you are doing, it is how effective you are. If you are not effective, then you are wasting time. You should not just be putting in your time. When you into something you are not suited for, you are not effective.
I John 5:
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
God, when He gives His commands, they are not grievous, or hard to do. The person who is going against the law of God is following the grievous path. Happy people are ones that choose servant hood.
I Corinthians 9:
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
This principal will work in any field, if you want success, you need to be a servant. In a poll in America, "what does it take to be successful", successful people said a good work ethic, unsuccessful people said a good education. A good work ethic can get you a lot further than education can get you. There are some things that you will need an education for (doctor). Joy comes not in serving yourself but in serving other people. People who serve learn to think like the people that they want to reach. Happy people are the ones who learn the joy of serving others. You will not be happy if you think God is out to get you. Service gains and fulfills like no other thing.
These notes are from one I heard from the service and do not necessarily reflect what Pastor George taught. All people here different things is a service. I encourage you to contact COTM/Willie George Ministries if anything I have written here bothers you as Pastor George may have said one thing and I heard another.

Title:Power of Agreement: Part 6
Speaker:Pastor Willie George
Notes:
Amos 3
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Acts
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
What is significant about 120 people being together. To us none, but it would have been to the Israelite. When Nehemiah returned to build the Temple, he realized that the reason that people were turning away from God so often is that they were not being taught properly the ways of God, so he instituted a structure that exist to this day, the Synagogue. Here the people that were scattered could learn the ways of God and turn from idolatry. In Jerusalem, there was a Great Synagogue that held 120 leaders of the Synagouges. So a number like 120 was something the Jewish people would notice. 120 can be broken up to 10 X 12. In Bible 10 tends to be the number of order and 12 the number for governments. So the number 120 has other importance as well.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
There is only one way possible to to have that type of ministry, and that is the Love of God.
John 13
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Love is the gas that makes the unity vehicle go. When things are uncommon, like people showing love for one another, other people are attracted to it and will flock to it.
Ephesians 5:
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
We are to be imitating God like a young boy does his daddy, but how are we to do that?
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
4:
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
What we see here are many types of anger. It does not matter what type it is, if it is slow, or slander, which is managed info. Clamor, from the greek that means the cry of a crow, which sounds like it is ticked or malice, a desire to see someone suffer, these things we are to put out of our lives.
Love is a choice, we have to choose to do it. When you do choose to walk in Love, the Holy Spirit will guide you
I John 4
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
I Corinthians 13:
8 Charity [LOVE] never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; F49 whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
F49: fail: Gr. vanish away
Romans 5
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
It has to clearly come from God.

We at CRJournal.com believe that God has started a revolution! The basis of this revolution is to counteract the unbiblical stance of some ministers who are using their leadership roles to treat the children of God under their care with force and cruelty (Ezekiel 34:1-10). Issues of orthodoxy are at the very core of this revolution. The cries of the hurt, abused, abandoned, ripped off, manipulated and oppressed have not fallen on deaf ears. God is the Great Shepherd, and he will not be mocked by the likes of such men or women who mistreat the sheep in His name to further establish their own power and wealth.Have not had time to get into site in depth, but I welcome it. There are many false teachings in the Charsimatic sphere, as well as true ones. I pray that they stay withing the framework they have stated, and attack the mistakes and not the man or the ministry.
I always sort of liked Tax Cut over Turbo Tax anyway.

Don't let some web site or TV comentator tell you what Bush said. Read it for yourself.
“We flat out messed up on this one,” he told the Austin American-Statesman. “Shame on us for leaving the door open, and shame on them for exploiting it. Our No. 1 goal is to get those data back before they get misused.”Or in other words, we want to close the barn door after the horse has left. Fear of Death Abolished by Christ Jesus
TV/Webcast for Sunday, February 23
All scripture noted here is from the King James Bible. These are notes
that I got from the show, please listen to it your self at his Webcast website.
Hebrews 2:
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
On the same day that Jesus bore your sins, sickness, etc. He delivered you from the fear of death. (v. 15). A lot of people worry and do not realize they are doing it. Worry is a manifestation of fear. You can sit with nothing on your mind, in 20 min., without thinking about anything, you will be in fear of something.
that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
The devil does not have power over death anymore. Jesus accepted death, He let death take Him, because He had no sin. He had to accept sin by faith just like we have to accept salvation by faith. Once he made Himself to death, accepting it, then His body could die. He accepted our sin, death came. He bore the death, sicknesses and diseases, our sins. He had to take them and took them to hell for us. The Word says he was the seed of David, but Jesus knew no earthly father. David prophesied the Jesus would come and keep him (David) from staying in hell. Jesus had to come to get David and all the rest from hell. Death was overcome by the light in its own domain, hell itself, and He returned to pick up His body, proving that the Word has power over death. Satan could not keep death on Jesus. Death has now lost its power. Jesus overcame it.
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
The fear of death makes you subject to bondage. Bondage depends on fear.
Romans 8
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
We are not free to go back to bondage to fear again. I am delivered from fear of bondage.
We have spirit of adoption, love from the Father.
2 Timothy 1:
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Jesus abolished death then, therefore it is abolished here and now.
Satan's ability has been paralyzed and he is now subject to the authority of the Body of Christ.
Luke 1:
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Death is the enemy.

"OZZY OSBOURNE is probably the best advertisement for "Don't Take Drugs' that you can ever get. He's a doddering old fool that nobody takes seriously."Snicker Snicker
-- Radio-TV pundit BILL O'REILLY in the Chicago Tribune.
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Bob Morales and his wife sat through advertisements for the Cartoon Network, the NBC show "Boomtown" and AOL Broadband.Uh, I do not get to the movies much and when I do it is usually the dollar thearter, but gee, when did the big groundswell start about this. I can remember this going on in theaters 10 years ago. Coke was always a big ad campaign, as was automobiles, usually Fords if memory serves me correctly. Just seems people are starting to notice it now I guess.
There was a pitch for the U.S. Army, another for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Morales would have accepted the promotional barrage at home in front of the television, but it annoyed him to go through it at the movie theater.
"That's why we come to a theater, so we wouldn't see advertising," said Morales, at a Regal Cinemas Theater in Pasadena for a weekend matinee of "About Schmidt."
Europa is one of only a few places in the solar system other than Earth where life might be possible. The ice-covered Europa, astrobiologists suspect, could harbor liquid oceans under its frozen surface. It has been the subject of preliminary studies by the Voyager spacecraft in the early 1980s and more recently by the Galileo spacecraft, which flew within 900 miles of the moon's surface in February 1999.I just finished reading 3001: Final Odesy by Arthur C Clark tonight. The moon Europa is a big part in this book as it is in 2010. Isn't it weird when you read something and the it seems to show up in news stories real soon afterwards.

Title: The Power of Agreement (Part 5)
Speaker: Pastor Willie George
Notes:
Amos 3:3
Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?
A relationship cannot last without agreement. There has to be definition to have any lasting relationship. In other words, the rules of the relationship, what is expected have to be laid out before hand. God even did that in the creation of Adam.
Genesis 1:
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
God here is defining the rules and delegating the authority to Adam. He is defining the relationship.
Genesis 2:
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward F11 the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. 15 And the LORD God took the man, F12 and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
God gives boundaries to Adam. He defines what it is that Adam can and cannot do in his relationship to God. It also defines what God will do for man.
Genesis 9:
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Again, now with Noah, God defines the relationship that He will have with His creation.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
God is laying out the way that the animals are to act towards man. Wild animals fear man, why? Because God has defined it to be that way.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
If you like it or not, Cheeseburgers are scriptural. Now if you do not want to eat meat, that is fine, but it is biblical to eat meat.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Clearly, there is a rule to be followed here. Though we are to eat meat, but we are not to eat of the blood of the animal, it is the life source.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Though many may try to dismiss it, it is clear that capital punishment is defined in this pair of verses. Even God says that the animals that kill man will be held accountable for what they have done, for man is in God's image.
Have you ever noticed that when people walk with God we need less rules. Our society has evolved to many rules, but fifty years ago this was not so. You took a person on his word, now signed contracts are in order, and people will sue for stupid reasons. How intelligent do you have to be to pull to the side of the road to prepare your coffee from McDonald's, yet people will sue because they burned there lap because the coffee was to hot and they were drinking it while they were driving. Or suing some fast food restaurant because you are too fat.
Jesus in His day defined the relationship He had with His disciples in His ministry
Luke 9:
1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. 3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. 4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. 5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
Since there was a relationship that all Israelites were to have with strangers, Jesus is clearly defining what they are to do to people that will not listen to what they have to see, the relationship they were to have with the people of Israel.
The strength of any relationship is in how clearly the rules are defined. Institutions that are a success clearly define the standards that they expect. That is why we are having so many problems with companies today. If things are not clearly defined then there will be problems. (Note from self: am studying this in Accounting Information Systems, these are called internal controls in companies). When things are not clearly defined, someone winds up getting taken advantage of. It is always the leaders job to define that relationship. We see an example of this in Paul's life.
Philippians 4
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
So what is Paul saying here? He is telling them to pattern their life after his. What type of life did Paul have before them? For that answer go back to the Book of Acts.
Acts 16
22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them. 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
This story happened in Phillipi, and all the Philipians would have known it. So Paul is saying to them look at the life that I lived before you and use it as an example to pattern yourselves after.
Philippians 4
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
It is not normal for people to be praising God when they are in chains in prison. If any of us today had it happen to us while we were doing a work for God, we would grumble, complain, and talk about never serving God in the ministry again. But Paul does not do that, at midnight, as best as he could he lifted his hands to God and praised him, and the earthquake came and freed he him. It is clear what Paul is saying, re-order your thought life. If it is not a good thing, if it is negative or bad, do not dwell on it, get it out of your mind and get on with things.
In v. 7 he talks about the peace of God, in v. 9 the God of peace. Is there a difference? Yes. When we first come to God we want more than any thing else, peace in our lives. Most often we come to Him in a turbulent time and we want that peace that only God can provide to us, so we seek the peace of God. Once we become Christians we must now keep focused on those things that are of a good report. In doing that, in stead of seeking the peace of God, we now turn to the God of peace. We must learn to focus on these things.
all scripture is from the King James version of the Bible. These are my notes from being in the service and do not reflect on what Pastor George actual said, but on what I heard.

Okay, I admit, this is a totally silly and pointless piece of software. If you live so much in a box that you don't read, watch, or listen to any news at least once every couple of days, perhaps this application will help keep you in touch with reality. If you do try to keep up with world events, you will probably hear about a significant terrorism threat through some other means before this program gets around to letting you know about it. This program is just for fun, despite its serious theme. And that quote is from the author. Still nice to keep track of things for us compute bound people.

"It is only by the middle of January and thereafter that Iraq has taken a number of steps, which have the potential of resulting either in the presentation for destruction of stocks or items that are proscribed or the presentation of relevant evidence solving long-standing unresolved disarmament issues".Are we playing hide and seek or are we responsible adults. Iraq, you want us to trust you, show us you are trustworthy. It is a case of put up or shut up.
Children of military parents across Maine are being harassed in school, in some cases by teachers who claim the little ones' mothers and fathers are wrong to fight for their country, according to families' complaints.I do not care if you are for or against the war. If this is true, THIS IS WRONG!
Kennedy tells his younger associates that Bush's application of an ideological litmus test constitutes the "worst" judicial nomination process he has seen in 40 years of service.Well so much for bi-partsian support. I hope these liberals understand that bi-patsian does not mean you support us and we support us.
"I believe that those of us who are the producers and purveyors of television -- or video games or newspapers or any mass media -- I believe that we are the servants of this nation," Rogers said.Though I am not of an age that watched Mr. Rogers, my children have, and much like Barney, he was made fun of because of his need to communicate to children on their level. Mr. Rogers, I hope when I get to heaven, God let's me be your neighbor. May God bless your family in this dificult time.
And what seemed to be the consensus? That Bush planned a "war against God." Eskidjian earned applause when she stated, "No nation is entitled to prosecute vengeance." So now we know how the WCC folks in Geneva feel about the upcoming conflict's intent -- vengeance. That's it! And of course we also know that God says in the Old Testament, "Vengeance is mine." (Deuteronomy 32:35).
To be fair to Kock, de Clermont and some of the others, they did mention that Saddam Hussein was not a nice guy. But they wanted to know: Why not leave it to the United Nations to take his lethal toys away from him? Said de Clermont, "The U.N. is capable of disarming Iraq." Alas, de Clermont failed to address the underlying question why this has not been accomplished in the last 12 years.
An interesting read that I might post to Christdot if I was still posting there. So I post here and invite you to read and comment on. Is "vengence mine says the Lord", or does God expect us to take care of it and how do we know President Bush did not hear from him??
The Boston Red Sox, those devoted preservers of tradition and history (just ask them), will begin selling seats atop the Green Monster Saturday -- the equivalent, you would think, of carving a couple of luxury suites out of Teddy Roosevelt's teeth on Mount Rushmore.Having grown up looking at the green monster on many ocassions, I shudder at what they are doing to my stadium. But then again it is not my stadium. I can remember the way it was in my memories.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Title: The Power of Agreement (Part 4)
Speaker: Pastor Willie George
Notes:
Amos 3:3
Can two people walk together without
agreeing on the direction?
If you are a Christian you are a disciple. You are bound by the
Word.
If a person is a thinker, he can get confused because he will
challange the Word when it does not make logical sense. For that
reason, thinkers need to stay in the Word. They need to agree
with what it says.
If you are not honor bound to your word, you will move to the
leat level of resistance.
Acts 15:1
While Paul and Barnabas were at Antioch of
Syria, some men from Judea arrived and began to teach the Christians:
"Unless you keep the ancient Jewish custom of circumcision taught by
Moses, you cannot be saved."
As we see here, growth produces problems.
2Paul and Barnabas, disagreeing with them, argued forcefully and at length. Finally, Paul and Barnabas were sent to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question. 3 The church sent the delegates to
Jerusalem, and they stopped along the way in Phoenicia and Samaria to visit the believers. They told them – much to everyone's joy – that the Gentiles, too, were being converted. 4 When they arrived in Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabas were welcomed by the whole
church, including the apostles and elders. They reported on what God had been doing through their ministry.
5 But then some of the men who had been Pharisees before their conversion stood up and declared that all Gentile converts must be circumcised and be required to follow the law of Moses.
These people were comming in and saying that the new Christians needed to obey the law of Moses before they could be Christians. But what fixed the problem was commitment to the word.
6 So the apostles and church elders got together to decide this question.
You will never have agreement unless you get together on the Word. Look what happened.
v. 7 Peter stood and addressed them...
v. 12 Barnabas and Paul told...
v. 13 James stood and said...
They all spoke about what God had done, and better yet, they got together and aggreded.
Agreement at the top elimanates dificulties below
1 Corinthians 5:1-6 1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For
I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Paul got them all in agreement that this man was wrong, and that he needed to be turned over to Satan since he would not step out of the sin he was living in. And it worked, when he got isolated, he got sick, and Paul says in 2 Corinthians that he asked forgivness to let him return to the church. He asked for redemption, he got it. Agreement can stop wickedness.
If people are in agreement, anything can be done
Genesis
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
God had to stop them, they could do it otherwise. But they were doing it for the wrong purpose. They wanted to be on equal with God. No. God stoped them from doing that.
In any of our relationships we must learn to walk together, if it be our church, our job, but especially with our mate.
